Why not more people talking about this Brontë sisters' book. Everyone talks about about Jane Eyre or Weathering heights, and so little attention is paid to this hidden gem.

I discovered it by chance and thank God I did!!! I was first intimidated by 600+ pages, but then collected all my courage and there was no way back. Loved it! Really was worth it!

One thing though: if you like action packed stories, where in the end of every chapter a big turn or dark secret is waiting for you, this book is not for you. You may think that you have read 200 pages and nothing "interesting" has happened, and you are right. The story is simple, but really realistic. In real life, no big changes or twists and turns wait us every weekend. It's a slow burner.

Would highly recommend to give this underestimated gem a chance 😊😊😊😊
