A damn masterpiece, kind of grateful that I didn't read this as a child since I was such a scaredy cat. Gaiman has such a way to convey scary and complex concepts with simple, child-like reasoning (thus making it more digestible to its intended audience) that, nonetheless, manages to work for adults alike. The illustrations were downright creepy and all in all, again, this edition is a damn masterpiece. |
