Crítica de LiliOtero

Un libro sencillo, con ejemplos divertidos que muestran todo lo que aún nos falta por la equidad de género y que es un preliminar para todo lo que podemos aprender sobre feminismo. Destaco las siguientes frases: "...52% of the world's population is female but most of the positions of power and prestige are occupied by men..."
"... we spend too much time teaching girls to worry about what boys think of them. But the reverse is not the case...we should begin to dream about and plan for a different world.... A world of happier men and happier women... we must raise our daughters differently, we must also raise our sons differently..."
"... we teach girls that they cannot be sexual beings in the way boys are... we praise girls for virginity but we don't praise boys for virginity.... but the loss of virginity is a process that usually involves two people of opposite genders."
"... imagine how much happier we should be, how much freer to be our true individual selves, if we didn't have the weight of gender expectations... boys and girls are undeniably different biologically, but socialization exaggerates the differences..." de todo lo anterior concluyo con honor, que yo soy feminista!!!
