“Boys are usually forbidden to have any contact with the Hunters. The last one to see this camp…” She looked at Zoe. “Which one was it?”
That boy in Colorado,” Zoe said. “You turned him into a jackalope.”
Ah, yes.” Artemis nodded, satisfied. “I enjoy making jackalopes…”

The third books in the series has all the good from the previous books, and adds a little tragedy to make it a little more mature.
It's humorous vein is intact though, the characters and the dialogs are still funny, hilarious sometimes, and I love it.

In this installment, Percy, Annabeth and Thalia are in a mission to help Grover rescue a couple of half-bloods, when they receive the unexpected help of the mysterious Hunters, but not before Annabeth goes missing.
Back in Half-blood Camp, the Oracle gives 5 heroes a quest to save an imprisoned Goddess, and Percy will use that chance to try and save Annabeth from their enemies.
In the end, the fates of the remaining heroes will be once again in the hands of the Olympians, who will decide if keeping Thalia and Percy alive is wise or not.

The plots are getting more complex, the villains more evil, our heros are growing up. The time the prophecy has marked is getting closer, and the Gods are restless. I'm more hooked with every new book I read, I need to know how this all ends, and then continue reading more Riordan books!
