Being honest when I started reading it I was not expecting anything at all. I mean, of course that I knew that it was considered a classic, but I don't know why I didn't know what it was about or if it was a fictional, romance, or historical novel. After reading it my first thought was ‘I want to read this book to my children one day, to encourage them to pursue their dreams, to never stop dreaming and to be brave…because only a brave person is able to go after his or her dream'. Which I think that says everything that needs to be said about what I think about this book. I have also been reading online opinions of people who have read it saying things like it is not that good or that the story is a ‘piece of shit'. I respect all the opinions because we are all free to think whatever we want to think and to enjoy or not certain things…if I am mentioning this kind of opinions is to say that I think that this book has its own time. I mean, you need to read it when you are forgetting about your goals, to make you remember what your dreams are and to encourage you…otherwise you are not going to enjoy it at all. |
