Let's be honest, it's not a good book, but it is a good reading. Light and easy. I remember reading a lot of this type of books back when I was in college, and it took me back to that stage of my life. It does not have a deep message, and I wasn't able to connect with the characters, but that might be because I am used to a more mature kind of romance and not so much to the young and playful type. This superficial story portraits perfectly 21year olds day a day and how they see life. The reference to The Kiss Quotient just made my day and got me laughing evilish, because aren't we all reading smut in public? (*Wink*) I really liked how their relationship evolves throughout the book, and I have to admit that the story grew on me. I did not connect with Anastasia, but it was fun to read; and the name "Nathaniel" might be one of the male names I like the most, so that is a plus. I always liked that epilogue glimpse into the futuro, but this Happy ever after is too sweet and perfect for my taste full of clichés. If you liked Icebreaker, I recommend The Deal by Elle Kennedy. |
