Jeremy Rifkin is a sociologist, economist, and influential public speaker. He is a scholar of the collaborative economy and the impact of technology on society, as well as the creator of the theory of the Third Industrial Revolution. He holds a degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he is currently a lecturer, and a degree in International Affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Jeremy Rifkin is also the founder and president of the Foundation on Economic Trends and has served as an advisor and counsellor to numerous governments and the European Parliament on matters regarding the environment, technology, and energy security. He has written numerous influential works, including "The Third Industrial Revolution," "The Empathic Civilization," and "The Green New Deal." In his latest work, "The Age of Resilience," he analyses the social and economic transformations we must embrace to ensure our survival on Earth.
